Growing up in a farmer's family from a small town in Chattisgarh, sustainable practices came very naturally to us. I saw my parents take a cloth bag each time they visited the market or save rainwater to reuse it later for different purposes. The list goes on and on.
A few years later, when I moved to the metros for my job, it made me realize even more how furiously we are impacting our environment in different ways. It would hurt me deeply to see how nature and other species are suffering due to our ignorance. Every time I went for a trek, I would bring back plastics or take part in voluntary drives to clean the rivers and beaches.

But I realized this was not enough at all. The problem is much more deep-rooted. Sustainable practices are inherent in Indian landscapes; we just need to democratize them sooner before this climate epidemic starts penetrating our small villages and towns. But alone, we can do so little; together, we can do so much!
The idea of making a dent in this direction started resonating with a few more passionate folks, and this is how Untrash.Earth was born. We found our Ikigai in trying our best to save our planet. We hope that you will also join us in this arduous journey because every contribution matters! Together, let's breathe new life into our planet. Join us in the fight against climate change, one small step at a time.
